Many people start training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with their own goals in mind, whether it is to achieve their black belt, improve fitness, or just an overall healthier life. However, one thing is certain, as they begin training and working their way towards achieving their goals, they have found it is not only about the end result. It is also about the journey that comes with achieving those goals: the excitement, the challenges, and the victories that are all part of what makes the journey so incredible and so worth it.

Featured Programs

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu evolved from the Japanese martial art Judo into its own distinct discipline. It focuses on employing leverage rather than strikes to control an opponent, thus eliminating the importance of size and strength in a conflict. Skillfully applied joint locks, submissions, and chokes neutralize any opponents – making Jiu Jitsu the world’s most effective and efficient form of self-defense.

INTRODUCTION BJJ

Intro to Jiu-Jitsu will safely prepare you to participate in group classes. You will learn essential Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques with a IKIGAI Instructor. There will be no sparring or complicated movements. You will learn a series of basic techniques that anyone can preform.

FUNDAMENTALS CLASSES

Designed for new students  this class features Fundamental Lessons and Techniques on Basic BJJ theory. Flow Sparring.

A continued exploration of BJJ theory, principles, and techniques through Class Lessons and Positional Sparring. We require a minimum of 3 Months of consistent training to join Fundamental Level 2 classes. 

 ADVANCED CLASSES

Advanced classes are designed to focus on progressive attacks and defenses. Here students will focus on techniques and strategy, as well as developing a personal training ‘game’ based on their abilities and skill set.

Advanced classes are open to any rank equivalent to blue belt and above. Both Fundamental and Advanced classes welcome hobbyists as well as those interested in tournament competitions.

Class 

The breathing class it’s 30 minutes session usually after the Jiu jitsu classes, in which students can experience diferente types of guided breathing techniques such as Wim Hof method, Soma breath work, pranayama breathing techniques etc.
many breathing practices have been shown to reduce blood pressure, activate parts of the nervous system that help you relax, and even normalize brain waves.
